Example of Biased Translating

Acts 18:5 (King James) "testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ"
Stephanus Textus Receptus (and many other Greek Manuscripts) have this as the Greek words:
"διαμαρτυρόμενος τοῖς Ἰουδαίοις τὸν Χριστόν Ἰησοῦν"
διαμαρτυρόμενος  (G1263: Present Participle Middle Nominative Masculine Singular)   (is present tense)   τοῖς Ἰουδαίοις   τὸν Χριστόν   (G5547: Accusative Masculine Singular)   (that one)   (the Christ)   Ἰησοῦν   (G2424: Accusative Masculine Singular)   (that one)   (Jesus)
Greek with Grammar:
 (earnestly)   attesting   [to]   (present tense)
the Jews   the Christ   Jesus   Earnestly attesting to the Jews the 'Anointed Jesus'   ('Jesus' is the subject)
But You Are Told:
testified  (as past tense)
to the Jews that Jesus was
inserted a non-existent verb 'was' as past tense, separating the adjective from the noun
Christ
reversed 'Christ' and 'Jesus' so that the adjective 'Anointed' instead becomes the subject 'Christ'
Making the sentence say: 'Jesus' was (past tense back then) the 'Christ'   (incarnate)
Nestle Greek (and many other Greek Manuscripts) have 'εἶναι' also in the Text:
"διαμαρτυρόμενος τοῖς Ἰουδαίοις εἶναι τὸν Χριστόν Ἰησοῦν"
διαμαρτυρόμενος  (G1263: Present Participle Middle Nominative Masculine Singular)   (is present tense)   τοῖς Ἰουδαίοις   εἶναι   (G1510: Present Active)   'is' (existing as present tense and active)   τὸν Χριστόν Ἰησοῦν   (G5547 + G2424: Accusative Masculine Singular)   (that one)   the 'Christ Jesus'
Greek with Grammar:
 (earnestly)   attesting   [to]   (present tense)
the Jews   now Is active   the 'Christ Jesus'   Earnestly attesting to the Jews 'now Is active' the 'Anointed Jesus'

Please Use an Interlinear Hebrew/Greek Bible and Lexicons
For the important scriptures, examine the grammar and look up the original words in a Lexicon.
Do this, and you will be stunned how many times the English Bibles disregard the grammar. By disregarding the grammar they change the meaning of the words, and by doing this they change the meaning of the sentences.

What Do You Need To Study the Bible From the Original Texts?

• Hebrew and Greek Interlinear Bible (buy a book):
• Online Hebrew and Greek Interlinears:

You are not a Hebrew or Greek expert, so let the Lexicons and Grammar helps be the experts for you. Do this, and you will see for yourself how often the English translators disregard the original Text to promote their own doctrines. You will be aghast at the number of times they blatantly insert additional words, completely ignore the grammar, and choose their own wording just to slant the reader's understanding. However, your own understanding of the original Scriptures will be greatly enhanced!
